Freemasonry is an ancient and honourable Society based on three Great Principles: –
Brotherly Love Every Freemason will show tolerance and respect for the opinion of others and behave with kindness and understanding to his fellow creatures.
Relief Freemasons are taught to practice charity, to care, not only for their own, but also for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.
Truth Freemasons strive for truth, requiring high standards and aiming to achieve them in their own lives.
Thus the practice of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, by Freemasons, and the other principles of the Craft will go a long way to making a good man better.
Consecrated in 1996, Ayton Lodge was formed by members of Lodges in the surrounding area. They felt there were enough Ayton Masons, to warrant Great Ayton having its’ own Lodge.
Since then, it has never looked back and has a very high number of visitors at every meeting.
The Women’s Institute Hall in Great Ayton is home to Ayton Lodge and it provides a unique setting for this to take place.
We meet on the 1st Friday in February, March, April, October, November and December.
If you are a Freemason who would like to visit us or just an individual seeking more information about Freemasonry please contact the Lodge Secretary by email .
